The FBI announced on Wednesday that it has launched a new website featuring sections such as Special Agents, Careers, and Life at the FBI, according to local21news.com and bakersfieldnow.com.

This move follows a recent cyberattack by a digital extortion group called ShinyHunters, which claimed to have breached FBI databases and stolen data of many employees, including the job application site.

The FBI jobs website was unavailable as of September 22, leading users to a server error page the following day, as reported by the National News Desk.

Authorities have taken action in response to the breach: the FBI arrested a suspected co-conspirator linked to ShinyHunters, and Dutch police arrested the alleged leader of the group under Dutch law.

FBI teams are actively collaborating with partners to pursue further leads in the ongoing investigation, indicating continued efforts to address the cyberattack and its implications.
