49ers' Nick Bosa likely to miss fourth game before Atlanta visit
San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa remains sidelined with a calf injury ahead of Monday's game against Washington, aiming to return for the Oct. 25 game in Atlanta.
The San Francisco 49ers continue to manage injuries on their defensive line as they prepare for upcoming games, including one in Atlanta. Defensive end Nick Bosa, sidelined for three weeks due to a strained left calf, remains out of practice and is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game Monday against Washington, according to the Press Democrat.
General manager John Lynch expressed cautious optimism about Bosa's recovery, stating the team wants to ensure a full and lasting return before putting him back on the field. Bosa himself hoped to return this week but is now targeting the Oct. 25 game against the Atlanta Falcons for his comeback.
In addition to Bosa, teammate Romello Height left practice early due to illness and did not participate fully, amid reports of flu-like symptoms affecting several players. Other 49ers players, including Greyson Halton and Mike Evans, are also dealing with injuries or limited participation in practice sessions.
The 49ers' defensive line showed strong performance recently with a season-high five sacks in their win at Seattle, but the team remains cautious with player health as they prepare for the game in Atlanta. The official status of some players will be updated closer to game day.
