Florida State running back Ousmane Kromah was carted off the field with a left ankle injury during the second quarter of Saturday's game against No. 3 Miami, according to the Taylorville Daily News.

The injury occurred as Kromah was heading for the corner of the end zone and was tackled from behind by Miami linebacker Chase Smith. Smith's ankle caught below Kromah's leg, causing it to twist awkwardly.

Kromah initially tried to get up and hop off the field, but he soon went to the ground as Florida State's medical staff rushed to his aid. His left leg was placed in an air cast before he was taken to the locker room.

Before the injury, Kromah was Florida State's leading rusher with 565 yards and five touchdowns on 100 carries. He had gained 44 yards on 14 carries during the game at Miami prior to the injury.
