A man who fell to his death after being ejected from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia will be laid to rest on Monday, Atlanta News First reported. The incident occurred on October 12 while he was riding with his niece.

The man, a 42-year-old Atlanta Public Schools teacher and father, will be remembered in a celebration of life service at 2 p.m. Monday at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam mosque in DeKalb County, according to his obituary.

The park has temporarily shut down nine rides across six parks that use similar lap restraint systems as the Goliath coaster. Goliath itself remains closed while the state insurance commissioner’s office continues its investigation.

Six Flags management has stated that safety is its highest priority. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident is ongoing. The ride was last inspected in March before the season began, according to state records.
