New Yemeni cafe, pizza place, and 20 storefronts coming to Inner Sunset
Inner Sunset will see new businesses and storefront improvements funded by the Neighborhood Vibrancy Fund.
The Inner Sunset neighborhood is set to receive new businesses and storefront beautifications supported by the Neighborhood Vibrancy Fund, according to the San Francisco Standard.
Mama’s Boy Pizza, a New York City-style slice shop, will open in spring in the former Reliable Rexall pharmacy location at 9th Avenue and Irving Street. This marks the pizza place’s first expansion outside Oakland. The lease is backed by the Inner Sunset Neighborhood Vibrancy Fund and nonprofit SF New Deal.
In addition, BMO Bank is considering taking over the former Bank of America space across the street, as noted in Planning Department records.
Twenty-eight recipients of the Vibrancy Fund will benefit from grants for storefront beautification, business assistance, and new tenant leases, including 403 Coffee at 403 Irving Street.
The grants are funded by Inner Sunset residents who have invested in revitalizing the neighborhood’s commercial corridor, extending downtown’s small business initiatives to this area, the SF Standard reported.
