Panthers favored to face Eagles without Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia
Carolina Panthers prepare to play a Philadelphia Eagles team missing QB Jalen Hurts due to a blood clot.
The Carolina Panthers are set to visit the Philadelphia Eagles, who are struggling with injuries and a three-game losing streak, WRAL reported.
The Eagles will be without their quarterback and former Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts for Sunday's game because of a blood clot in his calf, according to the Associated Press.
Backup quarterback Tanner McKee, who has started only two games in his career, will start in Hurts' place as the Eagles attempt to improve their season.
The Eagles are also hoping running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith can return from their injuries, which have impacted the team's performance.
The Panthers had already been installed as road betting favorites before Hurts' absence was announced, increasing their chances against the injury-plagued Eagles.
