The owners of the San Diego Wave FC have put forward a proposal to build a new stadium at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, according to FOX 5 San Diego.
This proposal comes from concerns that the team is treated as a lower priority tenant at Snapdragon Stadium, where they currently play.
By pursuing their own stadium, the Wave FC aims to have a dedicated venue that better supports their needs and growth as a team.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds location is seen as a potential site to establish a home stadium specifically for the women's soccer team.
