The San Francisco 49ers will host the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football at Levi's Stadium, marking their first primetime game of the 2026 season, according to 49ers.com. The matchup also coincides with the 49ers' 80th anniversary celebration and Alumni Weekend, including the induction of Keena Turner into the team's Hall of Fame.

Entering Week 6, the 49ers hold a perfect 5-0 record and lead the NFC West division. Their recent 32-29 win over the Seattle Seahawks featured a strong defensive performance with four takeaways and five sacks, as well as an offensive comeback in the fourth quarter, 49ers.com reported.

Quarterback Brock Purdy has been a key contributor this season, completing 98 of 142 passes for 1,196 yards and 13 touchdowns through five games. He has maintained a passer rating of 90.0 or higher in every game and is approaching an NFL milestone that would place him atop the all-time career passer rating leaderboard, according to 49ers.com.

Roster adjustments were made ahead of the game, including elevating defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo to the active roster and adding linebacker Eugene Asante to the practice squad, 49ers.com noted. The team also shared photos from recent practices and fan moments from the Week 5 game against Seattle.

The 49ers aim to maintain their undefeated streak and continue their strong performance in this nationally televised game at Levi's Stadium.
