Dame Dash's life rights sold for over $500,000 to pay $25 million debt

Dame Dash's life rights were sold at auction for over half a million dollars, according to a Complex report cited by 1045snx.iheart.com and 999xtc.iheart.com. The highest bidder was Everlasting Films, LLC, which now holds exclusive rights to the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder's life story and an unreleased documentary or film project in development.

Everlasting Films also acquired 100 hours of video content, photographs, and memorabilia related to Dame Dash. The company had previously placed a $37,000 'stalking horse' bid before the auction on October 1. If Everlasting Films fails to close the deal by the deadline, the runner-up bidder, Doug Peters, would obtain the rights for $500,000.

The auction was overseen by Traci K. Stevenson, the trustee managing Dash's bankruptcy case. Dash filed for bankruptcy in September 2025, reporting $4,350 in assets against $25 million in debts. Stevenson filed court documents to auction off Dash's life rights after he declined to include them among his assets.

Stevenson noted in court filings that the monetization of a person's name, image, likeness, and life narrative is a recognized and regulated commercial market. This supported the trustee's judgment that these rights are marketable estate assets appropriate for sale to satisfy debts.

The auction was approved by the court a month after the trustee's motion. All proceeds from the sale will go directly toward paying down Dame Dash's outstanding debts.
