Delegate May Nivar, who represents parts of Henrico and Goochland counties, is advocating against a proposed data center campus in Goochland County.
The project, named Tuckahoe Technology Park, would span nearly 900 acres according to WRIC 8News.
Nivar has formally encouraged the Goochland Board of Supervisors to deny approval for the development.
The decision by the board will directly affect Goochland County and potentially surrounding areas in the Richmond region.
Residents and stakeholders in the Richmond metropolitan area are watching the board's upcoming decision on this large-scale project.
