An appeals court in the Dominican Republic has revoked a judicial pardon previously granted to Wander Franco, the shortstop for the Tampa Bay Rays, according to WFLA 8.

The court's decision came after prosecutors requested the revocation. Franco was previously pardoned in a case involving sexual and psychological abuse of a minor.

The revocation of the pardon means the earlier judicial clemency is no longer in effect.
