Fall weather settles in with dry, clear conditions and highs in the 60s this week
Washington, D.C. area experiences chilly mornings and mild afternoons with clear skies and no rain expected.
A seasonal change has brought fall weather to the Washington, D.C. region, with cool mornings and mild afternoons becoming the norm, FOX 5 DC reported.
Monday started chilly, with temperatures dropping into the 40s in the city and even into the 30s in many suburban areas outside Washington, D.C., according to FOX 5 DC's Taylor Grenda.
Despite the cool start, afternoon highs reached 66 degrees Monday, slightly warmer than Sunday's low 60s, providing pleasant conditions for outdoor activities, FOX 5 DC said.
The dry pattern is expected to dominate the region all week as high pressure remains in place, bringing clear skies and calm conditions, FOX 5 DC added.
Temperatures will rise into the 70s on Tuesday under sunny skies before settling back into the 60s through the weekend, with no significant local impacts expected from a coastal system forming off the Carolinas, FOX 5 DC and the National Weather Service reported.
