Florida to legalize Tesla Roadster flying car, says Gov. DeSantis
Governor Ron DeSantis announced plans to legalize Tesla's flying car, potentially impacting transportation in Florida by 2028.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced plans to legalize the Tesla Roadster flying car in the state, according to WSVN 7News.
The Tesla Roadster is equipped with 10 directional nozzles powered by high-pressure compressed air tanks. These thrusters enable the vehicle to lift off the ground and control its movement in the air.
While production of the flying car is not expected to begin until 2028, the governor indicated that the vehicle could be used in certain communities, such as leapfrogging golf carts in The Villages.
Currently, drivers will not be able to fly the Roadster on public roads until laws are updated to allow such use, but the legalization plan marks a significant step toward integrating flying cars into Florida's transportation landscape.
