Man from Orlando arrested for violent carjacking in Hialeah

A 24-year-old Orlando man is held in Miami-Dade after being linked to a shooting during a car theft in Hialeah.

A 24-year-old man from Orlando was detained Monday in Miami-Dade County in connection with a violent carjacking that occurred in Hialeah, according to WPLG Local 10.

Detectives identified the suspect by reviewing Instagram posts and surveillance footage related to the incident.

The investigation revealed that a shooting took place during the vehicle theft, leading to the suspect's arrest.

Authorities continue to investigate the case as the suspect remains in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
