Human remains found in burning car at Prince George's County park

Police discovered human remains inside a burning car at Whitfield Chapel Neighborhood Park Thursday night.

Human remains were found inside a car that was on fire at Whitfield Chapel Neighborhood Park in Prince George's County, according to FOX45 Baltimore.

Police from the Maryland-National Capital Park Police division responded to the scene around 10:25 p.m. Thursday and found the car engulfed in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, and officers then discovered the human remains inside the vehicle.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact PGPPCrimeTips@mncppc.org.
