The team behind the upscale Turkish restaurant Meyhouse is launching Leyla Bakery, a new Turkish bakery in Santa Clara, according to Palo Alto Online. The bakery will offer traditional Turkish baked goods such as soft açma and tender su böreği.

Leyla Bakery is set to open at the former Copenhagen Crown Bakery location in early 2027. The bakery has already started a pickup and delivery service operating out of Meyhouse’s existing restaurants.

Meyhouse, established in Sunnyvale in 2019, expanded to Palo Alto in 2023 and also operates a sister restaurant called Meze Kebab, which opened in January. The bakery is named Leyla after the owner Omer Artun’s daughter.

This new venture continues the team’s effort to bring Turkish flavors to Silicon Valley, now focusing on baked goods in addition to their restaurant offerings.
