Ted Brown, the Libertarian candidate in the Texas Senate race, shut down claims that votes for him could split the race and potentially cost Ken Paxton (R) the election.

Brown said that both sides are making similar accusations against him, rejecting the idea that he is siphoning votes away from either major candidate, Paxton or Talarico.

The race is highly contested, and there have been concerns that Brown's candidacy might influence the final result by drawing votes that would otherwise go to one of the leading candidates.

Brown's statement clarifies his position regarding these concerns.
