Democratic strategist David Axelrod criticized President Trump after the latter told supporters at a rally that he 'did not give a damn' about high fuel prices because he said, “we’re making a freaking fortune” on oil, The Hill reported.

Axelrod pointed out that Trump is making money like he’s never made before and suggested the president’s attitude toward rising gas prices is dismissive of public concerns.

The remarks came during an evening rally where Trump emphasized financial gains from oil despite the burden high fuel costs place on consumers.
