KPBS reported live election results for several San Diego area contests. In National City, José Rodríguez is leading the mayoral race. Both Rodríguez and his main competitor, Bush, are Democrats who have served on the National City Council since 2020. They are competing to succeed outgoing independent Mayor Ron Morrison, a long-time political figure in the city.

In Chula Vista, incumbent Mayor McCann, who has held the office since 2022, is facing a challenge from Tamayo, an information technology specialist and member of the Chula Vista Elementary School District board. The contest is closely watched as Tamayo seeks to unseat McCann.

Also reported by KPBS is the status of Measure B, a countywide sales tax initiative intended to generate funds for social services and to address cross-border pollution issues. The measure is part of the broader election coverage impacting the San Diego region.

These election results reflect ongoing local political developments and funding decisions that will affect San Diego County residents. Further updates will follow as results are finalized.
