A man was sentenced to 31 years to life in prison for a deadly stabbing that occurred in Rancho Cordova in 2023, FOX40 reported.
The Sacramento County District Attorney's Office announced the sentence on Friday following a conviction for second-degree murder earlier this year.
The incident took place on August 12, 2023, when the man got off a light rail car in Rancho Cordova, according to the DA's office.
The sentencing brings closure to a case that has been under judicial process since the stabbing last year.
