Miami’s Sole Aspect label celebrates five years with free vinyl party
Local deep house label Sole Aspect marks its fifth anniversary with a free event at Wynwood's Dante’s HiFi on Nov. 13.
Miami’s underground record label Sole Aspect Records is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a free party at Wynwood’s Dante’s HiFi on Friday, Nov. 13, the Miami New Times reported.
The label, founded by Amaré, focuses on soulful deep house music strictly released on vinyl. Amaré, originally from Trinidad and Tobago and raised in Southeast Asia, started the label during the 2020 pandemic to preserve the city’s underground dance music scene.
Before moving to Miami in 2016, Amaré was involved in Atlanta’s underground dance scene, where he absorbed deep electronic music styles. He saw Miami’s larger clubs and EDM scene overshadowing the underground, motivating him to create Sole Aspect to keep the deeper sounds alive.
Amaré describes his label as appealing both to beginners and experienced DJs who want to connect emotionally with the music. The anniversary event will showcase the label’s signature Balearic house style, which Amaré likens to the feeling of an Ibiza beach sunrise.
