Power outages caused by Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) in Southern California have significantly decreased after several days of hazardous Santa Ana winds and elevated wildfire risks, KTLA 5 reported.

On Thursday afternoon, more than 63,000 Southern California Edison customers were without electricity due to these shutoffs, but by Sunday morning, only 1,391 customers remained affected, according to KTLA 5.

The reduction in power outages reflects an improvement in weather conditions and a decreased wildfire threat in the region, as reported by KTLA 5.

Southern California Edison continues to monitor conditions closely to prevent further risks and restore power safely to all affected customers, KTLA 5 added.
