Salt & Straw ice cream opens first Oakland store in Rockridge

Salt & Straw, a well-known ice cream chain originating from Portland, Oregon, is set to open its first store in Oakland next month, KRON4 reported.

The new location will be in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood and is scheduled to open on Friday, November 13.

This opening marks Salt & Straw's ninth location in the Bay Area and its second in the East Bay, with the other East Bay store located in San Ramon.

The expansion brings the popular West Coast creamery closer to Oakland residents, offering a new local spot for ice cream lovers.
