Starbucks has released its 2026 holiday cup collection, featuring retro, ribbon-inspired designs, according to 963starcountry.iheart.com. This year's collection includes four new hot cup designs and one cold cup, all decorated with festive holiday trees, bows, evergreen boughs, and red accents.

A notable addition is the first-ever holiday pup cup, a 3.5-ounce cup featuring a cartoon dog inspired by a real-life beagle named Junie, as reported by kiss1067.iheart.com. This pup cup is part of the festive offerings alongside the human-sized cups.

The color palette for the collection combines classic Starbucks green, red, and creamy white with retro shades such as pale mint green, antique gold, and deep cranberry. The design was inspired by the atmosphere of classic holiday movies, with the Starbucks Creative Studio team led by designer London D. drawing from vintage motifs and wallpaper.

A vintage-style green ribbon motif, inspired by real physical ribbons, features prominently across the campaign. It appears on coffee packaging, the back of to-go cups, and holiday garlands in Starbucks locations. The cups have evolved significantly since Starbucks introduced its first holiday cups in 1997, which were designed by a small team and distributed in 1,400 coffeehouses.

Today, the holiday cups take nearly two years to develop and are available in over 40,000 Starbucks locations worldwide. Customers are encouraged to mark November 17 as Red Cup Day, when purchasing any handcrafted holiday drink will include a collectible reusable red cup while supplies last.
