Deadline reported that the musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel 'The Notebook,' with music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson and book by Bekah Brunstetter, will make its West End debut next year.

Variety added that the production will open at the newly renamed Judi Dench Theatre (formerly the Shaftesbury Theatre) on April 13, 2027, with previews starting March 10. The run is scheduled through December 11, 2027, and tickets are currently on sale.

The show originally premiered on Broadway in March 2024 and ran through December, followed by a U.S. tour. It earned three Tony Award nominations, including best actor, best actress, and best book of a musical.

Variety also noted that the West End cast has not yet been announced. The production will be directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams, with choreography by Katie Spelman.

Nicholas Sparks expressed enthusiasm for the story’s lasting global impact and the opportunity to share this new version with London audiences, while Ingrid Michaelson highlighted the collaborative nature of the musical’s creation.
