Walmart starts drone delivery from seven Charlotte stores
Walmart and Wing launched drone delivery in Charlotte on Oct. 21, with plans to add two more stores soon.
Walmart has introduced a new drone-delivery service in the Charlotte area, starting on October 21, 2026, WBTV reported.
The retailer partnered with Wing, a drone-delivery company, to offer the service from seven Charlotte-region stores, with plans to expand to two additional locations shortly.
Charlotte shoppers can check if their address qualifies for drone delivery by entering it online, then download the Wing app to place and track orders, according to WBTV.
Wing’s website states that Walmart orders can be delivered by drone in as little as 30 minutes from order placement.
This service is part of a broader rollout that includes other major cities such as Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and Orlando, with future expansion planned for several more U.S. cities.
