Jacob Hewett, a sophomore swimmer at Wilson Hall, continued his record-breaking streak at the SCISA state swim meet held in North Charleston, according to The Item.

Hewett set six school records in total, including two individual marks and four relay team records. He also surpassed his previous program milestones in his individual races as Wilson Hall finished third overall as a team.

His outstanding performance earned him the Hines Furniture Athlete of the Week recognition, which Hewett credited to the support from the community.

Wilson Hall head coach Jeanna Mahr praised Hewett's humility and team spirit despite his individual success, highlighting his qualities as both a competitor and teammate.

Hewett focused on preparing for multiple races at the meet, aiming to help his team win or at least place on the podium. His versatility allowed him to choose from several top-ranked events in the SCISA rankings prior to the meet.
