A collection of 100 items related to Harry Houdini, the renowned escape artist, is set to be auctioned in Los Angeles, LAist reported. The collection includes personal objects such as a pocket watch with a secret code given to Houdini by his wife, Bess Houdini, and handcuffs owned by Houdini himself.

The collection was amassed over more than five decades by Kevin Connolly, who developed a passion for Houdini after watching a biopic about him as a teenager, according to LAist. Connolly collected thousands of items related to Houdini's life and career.

Among the notable artifacts are a signed life-size portrait of Houdini in chains, a linen bag made by Bess Houdini, and a signed cabinet card photograph of Houdini in chains. The pocket watch gifted by Bess in 1910 features an inscription with a hidden code, adding to its uniqueness.

The auction is being handled by Potter & Potter Auctions, with Gabe Fajuri, the auction house president, highlighting the personal nature of some items in the collection. The sale offers a rare opportunity for collectors and fans of Houdini to acquire significant memorabilia tied to the entertainer.
