Anne Arundel County police reported that a 14-year-old boy died following a collision between his electric dirt bike and a pickup truck in Severna Park on Wednesday evening.

The crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Robinson Road and Robinson Station Road near the B & A Bike Trail, according to FOX45 Baltimore.

Preliminary investigation showed the electric dirt bike was traveling southbound on the B & A Trail when it entered Robinson Road and struck the side of an eastbound pickup truck.

The teenager was airlifted to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries. The pickup truck driver, a 49-year-old man from Millersville, was not injured.

Anne Arundel County police's Crash Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the incident.
