Kayem Foods Inc., a Massachusetts-based company, has recalled approximately 1.5 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that were manufactured over the past eight months, FOX 35 Orlando reported. The recall affects more than 60 products sold under 68 different names, including brands such as AlFresco, Kayem, and McKenzie, according to the USDA.

The recalled items were produced between March 31, 2026, and October 7, 2026, and distributed nationwide, including stores and food service companies in Orlando and other locations across the United States, as well as in Hong Kong, the USDA website indicated.

The recall was initiated after a customer complaint in early October about a product being warm upon delivery. An investigation found that some meat and poultry products were stored in a warehouse cooler where temperatures deviated from required levels, FOX 35 Orlando and fox29.com reported.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service is not aware of any illnesses linked to these products but expressed concern that some may still be in consumers' refrigerators. The agency advises anyone who finds these products, which carry establishment numbers "EST. M/P 7839," "EST. P 20935A," or "EST. M 9520" inside the USDA mark of inspection, to take appropriate precautions.

Consumers in the Orlando area should check their refrigerators for these products and follow recall instructions to ensure safety.
