Amanda Holden, 55, posted pictures on social media showing her in a yellow bikini while vacationing in Abu Dhabi with her husband, according to dailymail.com. She joked about leaving the UK to avoid Storm Austen, which was bringing severe weather to Britain.

Storm Austen hit the UK with gusts up to 80 mph and heavy rain, causing school closures, power outages, and transportation disruptions, dailymail.com reported. The South West region, particularly Cornwall, was severely affected with over 16,000 homes losing power.

Wind speeds recorded included 76 mph on the Isles of Scilly and Guernsey, 72 mph on Jersey, and 71 mph at Culdrose in Cornwall. The storm was the first named storm of the season and was expected to move eastwards into the North Sea by Friday evening.

A separate weather system, Storm Boelo, was forecast to arrive on Saturday, adding to the unsettled weather conditions in the UK, dailymail.com noted.

Meanwhile, Amanda Holden is also reportedly planning to expand her business ventures, having filed papers to trademark her name, according to dailymail.com.
