Republican Anna Paulina Luna narrowly won reelection in Florida's Congressional District 13, which includes parts of Pinellas County, according to WUSF. With 99% of precincts reporting, Luna received 49.48% of the vote, just ahead of Democrat Leela Gray's 48.67%. Luna celebrated the victory at a watch party in Clearwater and outlined priorities such as enacting term limits for Congress members and stopping corporate PAC donations.

In Hillsborough County, Democrat Kathy Castor retained her seat in the redrawn District 14, which covers Tampa and surrounding areas, WUSF reported. Despite the district being redrawn to favor Republicans, Castor won against GOP challenger Mike Beltran. At her watch party in Tampa, Castor criticized the redistricting as "egregious gerrymandering" but expressed confidence that voters' voices prevailed.

Republican Gus Bilirakis won Florida's Congressional District 12, which now includes parts of western central Pasco County and western Hillsborough County, WUSF reported. Bilirakis, first elected in 2006, campaigned on priorities such as lowering costs, reducing taxes and regulations, and supporting seniors, veterans, and families. His Democratic opponent, Overman, focused on healthcare and crime prevention during her campaign.

The recent redistricting by Florida's Republican-controlled legislature altered district boundaries in ways that favored Republican candidates, affecting the composition of districts in the Tampa Bay area. Campaign finance reports showed significant fundraising on both sides in these races.

These election results maintain the current party representation for these districts, with Luna and Bilirakis holding Republican seats and Castor holding a Democratic seat. The outcomes reflect the ongoing political dynamics in the Tampa Bay region as influenced by redistricting and voter preferences.
