5518 Designs, a gift and apparel shop in Uptown Butte, is celebrating 10 years in business, KXLF reported.

The business began at Butte's Farmer's Market before owner Jon Wick decided to open a storefront on Main Street, at a time when many storefronts were empty.

Over the past decade, Uptown Butte has seen increased activity with more people and new stores opening, signaling a revitalization of the area.

Economic leaders are promoting a Small Business Saturday event on November 28 to encourage shopping local and highlight thriving businesses in the community.

Wick hopes his success will inspire others to start businesses in Butte, encouraging people to pursue their dreams in the city.

The growth of 5518 Designs and other small businesses reflects a positive momentum in Uptown Butte's economic and community development.
