Curry Barker, the director behind the horror film Obsession, has released a new horror short titled 'Mama Bear' on his YouTube channel, according to The Verge.

The short film runs nearly five minutes and contains graphic content, making it suitable for viewers looking for a scary experience ahead of Halloween, The Verge reported.

Barker wrote, directed, and edited 'Mama Bear,' and the video description notes that Windows sponsored the short film. Barker was also seen using a Surface laptop in a recent Instagram video, The Verge stated.

Looking ahead, Barker plans to follow up Obsession with a new film called Anything but Ghosts, which is set to debut in May 2027, The Verge added.

The Verge also mentioned that horror remains a popular genre, citing the success of the film Backrooms by YouTuber Kane Parsons, who released a new YouTube episode in August.
