Flickr announced it will be the exclusive sponsor of the 2026 1% for the Planet Auction, marking its third consecutive year supporting the event, according to a post on blog.flickr.net.

The company emphasized its commitment to environmental causes as a 1% for the Planet member, highlighting the importance of photography in raising awareness about nature and conservation.

The auction's winning bidder will receive three decades of Flickr Pro, which includes unlimited photo storage, ad-free browsing, and advanced statistics, as well as a private one-on-one portfolio review tailored to their creative journey.

All proceeds from the auction will support 1% for the Planet’s initiatives to accelerate smart environmental impact and combat greenwashing, reinforcing Flickr’s dedication to a healthier planet.

Flickr’s involvement reflects its belief in the power of photography and its community to inspire protection of natural spaces, a connection underscored by a survey finding that 95% of photographers feel limiting access to open spaces would negatively affect their work.
