Ford Motor Co. has issued a recall affecting 2,276 F-150 pickup trucks from model years 2025 to 2027 due to improperly secured front-row seats, according to eastbaytimes.com.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration advisory explains that the front seat bolts may not sufficiently restrain occupants in a crash, increasing injury risk, although no deaths or injuries have been reported so far.

Ford will inspect and tighten or replace the front seat bolts at no cost to owners. The recall fix is eligible for mobile repair and dealer pickup and delivery services, with owner notification letters expected to be mailed on October 26.

The issue was identified after a warranty report found missing or improperly seated seat bolts, linked to an autoworker unable to secure the seat within the workstation cycle time. Ford's investigation found 62 vehicles with similar problems through warranty and field reports.

This recall marks Ford's 80th of the year, more than double any other automaker, following a record 153 recalls last year. The company has implemented process and structural changes to improve vehicle quality, with JD Power ranking Ford the top mass-market brand for initial quality earlier this year.
