Francis Scott Key High School paid tribute to Seven Rupp, who died in a 2025 crash, during Senior Night ceremonies.
Francis Scott Key High School held a tribute for Seven Rupp during its Senior Night football event, as reported by FOX45 Baltimore. Rupp, a member of the Class of 2027 and the school's football team, died in December 2025 at age 16 following a vehicle crash in Carroll County.
During the ceremony, Rupp's family carried his No. 7 jersey onto the field, and players wore jerseys with the phrase "Long Live 7." A photo of Rupp displayed at the event included the message, "At peace in heaven's end zone — forever in our hearts."
Mickey Brilhart, Rupp's favorite teacher, acknowledged his lasting place on the team and in the school community. The crash that took Rupp's life also claimed the life of another Francis Scott Key student, Cash Owings, who was 16.
Friends and teammates remembered Rupp as funny, fearless, and like a brother. One close friend shared memories of growing up together wrestling, playing football, and spending time at each other's homes.
