Gavin Newsom’s childhood home in Cole Valley sells for $5.85M
The redwood-shingled house where Governor Newsom grew up sold quickly after multiple cash offers.
The childhood home of California Governor Gavin Newsom in San Francisco’s Cole Valley neighborhood recently sold for $5.85 million, according to the SF Standard.
The two-bedroom, two-bath redwood-shingled house is under 1,500 square feet but sits on nearly 10,000 square feet of combined land across two lots.
The property includes a separate studio and a Japanese soaking tub, and one lot opens onto Belgrave Avenue, an area where homes have sold for millions in recent years.
The listing agent noted that while the Newsom connection attracted attention, the property's value was largely driven by the land and its development potential.
The home received multiple all-cash offers and closed just 14 days after being listed at $4.5 million.
