Moroccan police intercepted a migrant who was swimming towards the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in North Africa, according to Al Jazeera English.

The migrant was taken back to Morocco following the interception.

This event occurred amid a broader crackdown on migrant encampments in the area.

In July, at least 70,000 people crossed into Ceuta, prompting increased enforcement efforts by Moroccan authorities.
