A group of hacktivists known as Distributed Denial of Secrets has exposed the identities of more than 40,000 employees associated with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The exposed individuals include Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, DHS operatives, and contractors, according to a report by NPR National.

The hacktivists justified their actions by criticizing the government's lack of transparency, describing the unmasking as fair play.
