Security footage from a San Francisco apartment captured an incident Monday morning in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and a man who told the agents he was a U.S. citizen, the San Francisco Standard reported.

According to the report, a plainclothes ICE officer wearing a red flannel shirt and baseball cap drew his gun on the man, who appeared unarmed, while questioning him on 6th Street. The man later appears handcuffed on the ground in the footage.

A resident named Juan Carlos, who witnessed the event from his apartment on 6th Street, said he heard yelling around 8:45 a.m. and saw the officer with his gun drawn. He initially did not realize the man was law enforcement because the badge was not immediately visible.

Juan Carlos said he told the agents they were being recorded, but they did not respond. The footage shows a man in a navy-blue suit and brown leather shoes running across the area before the encounter.

The San Francisco Standard's coverage did not include further details on the man's identity or the outcome of the encounter, nor any official response from ICE.
