At a rally in Sioux City, Iowa, Republican congressional candidate Joe Mitchell awarded former President Donald Trump the title 'Man of the Century,' according to NBC News.

Mitchell, running for a House seat in Iowa's 2nd Congressional District, called Trump 'the greatest president we've ever had' and criticized the Nobel Peace Prize committee for not recognizing him, calling it a 'disgrace.'

During the event, Mitchell presented Trump with a framed certificate bearing the title, which Trump accepted and thanked him for, as reported by 1440 WGIG and other iHeart outlets.

Trump used the rally to reiterate his belief that he should be allowed to run for a third presidential term, claiming the 2020 election was unfair, and criticized the current administration's immigration policies, citing disputed figures about undocumented entries into the U.S., according to CNN.

Mediaite noted that Mitchell's speech echoed Trump's style, including similar gestures and language, and included criticism of the media.

The rally was part of Trump's efforts to support Republican candidates ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.
