Knicks championship ring features New York City elements and Madison Square Garden replica
Designer Jason Arasheben created Knicks rings using diamonds, gold, and a replica of Madison Square Garden to capture NYC's spirit.
Jason Arasheben, known for designing championship rings for professional teams, crafted the New York Knicks' championship ring to embody the city's unique character, CBS News reported.
The ring incorporates 22 carats of diamonds and blue sapphires, 180 grams of gold, and nearly 800 individually set stones to represent New York City's DNA, according to CBS News.
A distinctive feature of the ring is a replica of Madison Square Garden inside, symbolizing the arena where the Knicks won their championship, the outlet noted.
Additionally, a 16-point diamond on a miniature Larry O'Brien Trophy signifies the 16-point deficit the Knicks overcame in their final game against the San Antonio Spurs, CBS News said.
Arasheben revealed the ring at the Knicks' home opener against the Philadelphia 76ers and described the design process as a seven-week effort under pressure, likening it to performing in the fourth quarter of a game.
A limited edition of 200 rings is available for purchase at Jason of Beverly Hills for $20,000 each, CBS News reported.
