Las Vegas’ Cashman Field to be replaced by housing development

Cashman Field, a Las Vegas landmark for 43 years, held its final professional sports event last month, a soccer match featuring Las Vegas Lights FC, staradvertiser.com reported.

The stadium, which opened in 1983 with a 12,500-seat capacity, was originally home to the Las Vegas Stars minor league baseball team, later known as the Las Vegas 51s and now the Aviators, according to staradvertiser.com.

The 55-acre Cashman facility is set to be repurposed as a new housing development amid a trend of stadium replacements in the city, staradvertiser.com noted.

Additional business updates include the Sahara casino installing BurraPay, a cryptocurrency payment platform allowing Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin transactions for chips, with a 5% deposit fee, staradvertiser.com reported.

Circus Circus has reopened its food court with new restaurants offering breakfast, burgers, Italian, Asian, and chicken dishes, while Jewel nightclub at Aria will close on November 21 after 10 years, with no replacement planned, staradvertiser.com added.
