A home health care worker in Lincoln County is accused of taking thousands of dollars by forging checks while providing care at a patient's home, WBTV reported.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the 35-year-old employee allegedly took checks from the patient's checkbook on multiple occasions between late August and mid-September. She then made the checks payable to herself, forged the patient's signature, and deposited the funds into her personal bank account.
