Human remains in Catawba County identified as missing Hickory man

Remains found near Catawba Valley Boulevard belong to 34-year-old Bradley Craig Nelson, sheriff's office says.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office identified human remains found last week near Catawba Valley Boulevard as those of a missing 34-year-old man from Hickory, WBTV reported.

Bradley Craig Nelson was last seen on September 14 and reported missing to Hickory police on September 16, according to the sheriff’s office.

The remains were discovered around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, and foul play is not suspected in connection with his death, the sheriff’s office said on October 19.
