Los Angeles vote centers open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Election Day voting

Election Day is underway in Los Angeles, with vote centers open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for in-person voting or to drop off mail ballots, according to LAist.

More than 600 vote centers are available across L.A. County, providing ample locations for voters to cast their ballots or return mail ballots.

People who are in line by 8 p.m. are legally allowed to vote, ensuring everyone present at closing time can participate, LAist reported.

This election includes a large ballot with choices for mayor, city attorney, Superior Court judges, school bonds, and statewide measures such as a billionaire’s tax and the governor’s race.

Early voting turnout in Los Angeles and Orange counties has already exceeded the previous midterm cycle in 2022, indicating strong voter engagement this year.
