A recent study found that marine life in a deep area of the Gulf of Mexico declined by about 60% in the years following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, WFLA reported.
The study highlights the significant environmental impact of the BP oil spill on marine animals, with a sharp drop in population in the affected region, Tampa Bay Times reported.
BP responded by saying it has implemented many changes aimed at preventing a similar event from happening again, according to Tampa Bay Times.
