MIT Technology Review reported that Stanley Anderson, an MIT alumnus and former executive at the Palo Alto Research Center, is now CEO of Costa Pickleball, a Las Vegas-based startup.

According to MIT Technology Review, Anderson brings his management experience from companies including HP and Intel to the pickleball startup, which sells high-performance paddles featuring decorative designs.

The company is also developing a quieter type of paddle, which Anderson believes will offer a competitive advantage in the growing pickleball market.

Anderson told MIT Technology Review that the company offers customers a way to "bring their identity to the court" through its paddle designs.

MIT Technology Review noted that succeeding in the current pickleball market will be challenging, but Anderson is confident due to lessons learned at MIT about effort and accomplishment.
