The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to PetroMarine Services for activities related to the reconstruction of the Juneau Rock Dump Terminal in Alaska, according to a Federal Register notice.

This authorization allows PetroMarine Services to incidentally harass marine mammals during the project, in accordance with regulations implementing the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).

The notice was published on a prototype version of the Federal Register website, which is not an official legal edition and does not replace the official print or electronic versions maintained by the Government Publishing Office.

The Federal Register prototype aims to provide accurate regulatory information but lacks legal status until formally approved by the Administrative Committee of the Federal Register.

Stakeholders and interested parties are advised to consult the official Federal Register publications for legal research and verification of regulatory documents.
